Events

2010 has started with quite a bit of planning for art shows and events. I started in February by participating in a nine day paint-out with the “Plein Air Artists of Riverside” from February 20th, to the 28^th, including a "Quick Draw" and final Exhibition at the Riverside Arts Project Gallery. The next event was the Redlands Art Association Multi Media Mini Show, for March 14^th to April 9^th. I was honored with and Award of Excellence for my little painting “Weeds and Willows”.

I also have been Juried into the Exhibition “Made in California” at the City of Brea Art Gallery, March 27 to May 7^th. Next I have two paintings in the Inaugural Exhibition of the “Pastel Society of Southern California”; this show is at the Manhattan Beach Creative Arts Center, in Manhattan Beach, CA. The show can be seen from April 3^rd to 16^th, 2010. By June, I will be in El Cajon, CA, participating in a Juried Exhibition with Women Artists of the West, show at the “Olaf Wieghorst Museum” June 3^rd to June 30^th, 2010. The opening reception will be on June the 4^th, this will be a must see show. Also in June I have two paintings juried into the "Pastels U.S.A" 24th Annual International Open Exhibition, with The Pastel Society of the West Coast. The opening Reception is on Sunday June 13th from 1-4:00 pm. The show will be from June 3 to July 9, 2010, at the Art Museum of Los Gatos, Los Gatos, CA.

I continue to paint exclusively in “Plein Air”, as I am hooked on this method of creativity. There are so many places to go, I never am at a loss for what to paint. I will be spending a week in April painting in the beautiful area of Monterey, Pacific Grove and Carmel. I am hoping to capture spring wild flowers on the beautiful dunes and beach cliffs. Then in October I will again go to paint for a week in beautiful Sedona, AZ. I will be painting with Albert Handell, and his mentorship program, can’t wait.
